El Rayes is 5 Months Now! :)

El turned 5 months yesterday! Wow how time flies....she's gonna be crawling and talking before long!

We went to Richmond today to get the stuff for our bathroom. The contractor will start tomorrow on our bathroom and laundry room. We are very excited. The flooring starts Tuesday. I can't wait till next weekend because our house will almost be done :) We went to Applebees today for lunch/dinner and John ate my leftover salad and El really wanted it. She was soo funny! I started her on oatmeal banana cereal Saturday and she really likes it. I am going to start baby food in the jar this coming weekend. Well I will take pictures when our bathroom is done. He said it should take 3 or 4 days same with the flooring!

We have been very busy! El Raye got to meet her Great Great Aunt Tammy and Great Great Uncle Lonnie and Jr. for the first time at cousin Angies house. Aunt Tammy and Uncle Lonnie & Uncle Jr. are my gramps' sister and brothers. I was very excited to get to spend time with all of them. Especially Aunt Tammy who was here from Washington. My Dad got all of our lights hung up but the family room ceiling fans. It is looking sooo good. We have our extra bedroom painted. We have been working at the Mooreland fair this week. Ellie was also in the cutest baby contest. She won the most sober expression. She was on the cover of the Courier Times today :). She was in the top ten for biggest eyes...(i know you can't believe she didn't win) John's brother and his family made is here safely from Missouri and are staying till Sunday. We are enjoying spending time with them.

Miss. El has a robe now. We got it at Macy's last week. She was pretty excited to try it out after naked baby time tonight. She was very happy this evening. She went to Jay & Abby Hale's wedding with Nanny and Papaw to see her boyfriend Jaxon! :) Momma and Daddy got 42 mums, mulch and solar lights all put out around the house today. We still need one more scoop of mulch and probably 6 more mums. I am mum crazy. I love mums in the fall! Our roof was put on yesterday. It looks amazing. We are really impressed! We also got our family room decorations lastnight at Hobby Lobby. We are doing the family room in vintage farm. It's going to be really cool! We need to finish up the family room and our extra bedroom in the next few days. John's brother and his family are going to be staying with us next week. Tomorrow we are going to church then El Raye gets to meet her Great Great Aunt Tammy(my gramps sister) from Washington! I am very excited to see her! John and I are planning on vacationing to Washington next summer to see her and her family! Well I will be able to post pictures more often again because we have wifi internet now. It took forever because we checked with all the internet providers we could think of and none of them would come out to the boonies. :) So we went with verizon wifi. I am very happy with it! BUSY!!!!!

Well we have surely had our work cut out for us lately. We started hardcore on OUR house! Yep that's right we own a home now..finally! :) We started on our room this past Saturday...lets just say the back way had 5 layers of wallpaper...ahhhh! So we have our room done but John's not happy with the wall so our contractor is redrywalling it. He will start on our completely new bathroom and laundry room the 17th. Our flooring will also start then! We are soooo excited! We are doing all of our own painting and my Dad's doing the light fixtures. Our family room furniture will be delivered tonight. We got a black leather set. Which means no food or dogs aloud :) I am really excited about our laminate and shag carpet we picked out for the house. My Dad already installed our hallway lights. They look soooooooo much better than the old. They roofing company should be starting anyday now on our roof. The shingles are in the driveway! It's been challenging but fun doing all these updates. We are ready for it to be done and hopefully by mid September it will be. We also got our Direct TV today! Thank goodness I have been dieing without my DVR...lol!

Ellie is doing great. She is growing like crazy. She is now laughing out loud. It's the sweetest thing I have ever heard in my life! She is sleeping in her crib now too. She didn't like it for the longest time. I had given up hope. I tried it out Sunday and she loves it now. She is sleeping on her belly too. Which freaks me out. I wasn't able to sleep for like 3 days when she first started it. I lay her on her back and I think as soon as I leave the room she rolls to her belly. STINKER!!! I also went back to work on Monday. I think it's been the roughest thing I have been through. I am crying as I type this. I love my job though and it's so rewarding knowing I am making a difference in a child's life! I am also looking at it in the perspective that I need to do this for Ellie so she can have nice things and we can provide extra for her. It has been hard on me though. She is in very good hands though. She has AMAZING grandparents who love her with all their hearts!
